Dr Kirsty Forsyth BSc, MSc, D.Clin.Psych, AFBPsS
Hi, I'm Kirsty, I'm a Senior Chartered Clinical Psychologist with 15 years experience of working with a range of clinical issues, within the NHS. For the last 5 years I have led a service for people with complex difficulties and continue to do so alongside my private practice. I am committed to working with individuals to help them to recover from psychological distress and my approach is one of compassion and warmth.
As a qualified Chartered Clinical Psychologist I am trained in, and have experience of, using a variety of psychological therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy.
I use an evidence based and person centred approach to providing clinical assessment and intervention and I tailor the therapeutic approach dependent on your presenting problems, goals and preferences.
